Dietary Questions

  • Flourish will be active until for the entire semester at The Eatery and will continue to supply allergen friendly meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week.

  • There are multiple locations around campus where you can eat Halal/Kosher.

    In The Market, Za’Tar offers Middle Eastern cuisine featuring Halal-certified proteins. We also serve a variety of Halal-certified protein options in The Eatery daily. Look for the Halal icon next to the dish or visit the Pitt Eats Website before you go!

    For Kosher, The Delicatessen will open this Fall, and serve made-to-order Kosher staples. Kosher grab-and-go meals are available at The Market in The Eatery and Sutherland Market.

Meal Membership Questions

  • You can use your Meal Membership to dine at any location on Pitt’s campus. View the campus dining map to plan your next trip!

    Our All You Care To Eat locations like The Eatery and The Perch allow you to use your unlimited meal swipes for full access to the location. Don’t have an Unlimited Meal Membership? No worries. You can also enter using Meal Swap, Dining Dollars, Panther Funds, or Credit.

    At our Retail locations, you can use a Meal Swap, Dining Dollars, Panther Funds, or Credit to purchase your meal. Click on the payment type to learn more.

  • The Market, our new frictionless shopping experience, will be open for 24 hours daily.

    Additionally, The Eatery, The Perch, Forbes Street Market, Chick-Fil-A, Shake Smart, Einstein Bagel Bros and all coffee shops open early and serve breakfast.

  • At All You Care To Eat locations, all meals are ready to serve, so you are free to dine at a pace that works best for your schedule. Need to take your food on the go? Our OZZI program allows customers to take their All You Care To Eat meal to-go. Learn more about OZZI here.

    At Retail locations, use the Transact Mobile App to keep track of wait times at all retail dining locations. Simply download the app here, create your account, and start ordering. Can’t get to the dining location? We are now offering delivery to Litchfield Towers with our brand new food Lockers, which keep your food hot or cold. Learn more here.

  • In order to meet the growing needs for our campus population, and develop a brand new, innovative dining space, we need to temporarily relocate a few options.     The value of an Unlimited Meal Membership includes full access to our All You Care To Eat dining locations, flexible and convenient dining options no matter where you live or study on campus, Meal Swaps which reset daily and allow you to explore campus and try everything we have to offer, exclusive access to dining events on campus, like Joyful and Late Night Breakfast, and a 10% discount at all non-national brands across all active within the Pitt Eats dining program.

The Eatery Construction Questions

  • Yes, The Eatery will remain open during construction. In order to offer service with limited disruption, The Eatery construction will be completed in phases. For more information on phasing and available options, please visit the Timeline page.

  • Yes. The Perch and other dining facilities on campus will not be affected.

  • Panther Alley is a new dining destination located between David Lawrence Hall and Hillman Library featuring Flourish On Wheels and Smokeland BBQ. A covered patio provides ample seating.

  • We did have to reduce the seat count at The Eatery, however we have added additional seating at our new Panther Alley location between David Lawrence Hall and Hillman Library.

  • Due to the phasing of construction, Za’Tar has been relocated to The Market, and is now available for a retail purchase or Meal Swap instead of All You Care to Eat. Our all new Middle-Eastern concept, Kokumi will be opening in November.

    In the meantime, customers following a Halal diet can enjoy a variety of options offered as All You Care To Eat at The Eatery daily. In the event that you cannot find a religious offering at The Eatery, please reach out to Lindsay Wilson at lindsay.wilson@compass-usa.com.
